Architecture Lead/Manager


This position requires an experienced lead computer architect with comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software aspects of high-performance CPU definition and design. The candidate will lead and manage the architecture group within a CPU core and multi-core CPU sub-system development team. Must have recent hands-on experience as a lead CPU architect

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of practical experience or BS with 12+ years
  • Highly experienced in processor architecture concepts with hands-on knowledge and experience in
    • Specification of CPU and multi-core CPU sub-system features such as memory models, virtual memory, distributed memory, multi-level caches, CPU pipelines, performance criteria
    • Writing performance models and characterizing performance
    • Specification of programming models and operating systems
    • Linux requirements for architectures such as MIPS, RISC-V, or ARM
    • Architecture level verification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RISC-V and/or MIPS CPU architecture
  • CPU Micro-architecture definition
  • Linux Kernel experience
  • Compiler toolchain experience

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead Architectural definition of Processor IP products
  • Architecture development and specification from early high-level architectural exploration, through working with designers on micro-architectural tradeoffs and arriving at a detailed specification
  • Performance modeling and validation
  • Architecture verification and testing
  • Development of architecture tools
  • Lead and Manage Architecture group worldwide
